  • Wupatki National Monument

The Wupatki Pueblo is the largest pueblo in the Monument. Wupatki Pueblo is known as the “Tall House” or “Long-Cut House” in the Hopi Language. It is easily accessed via a trail directly behind the Wupatki National Monument Visitor Center, the Wupatki Pueblo was once the home to about 100 people.

Lomaki Pueblo & Box Canyon Dwellings:

Lomaki is Hopi for "beautiful house" and when you stand among her stacked stone walls gazing up through her windows across the plains, you can feel how the Hopi people could conceive of such a fitting name.
